ALROSA sells $11 mln diamonds at auction in New York

MOSCOW, Nov 15 (PRIME) -- Russian uncut diamond mining giant ALROSA sold U.S. $11 million worth of special rough diamonds weighing over 10.8 carats at an auction in New York, the company said in a statement on Friday.

The company sold 93 gem-quality diamonds with a total weight of 1,560 carats.

A total of 95 companies from the U.S., Belgium, India, Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Russia, and Hong Kong took part in the auction.

ALROSA held four auctions in the U.S. in 2019 and earned over $38 million, it said.
